What Do You Prefer,Phuket or Bali?

These 2 places are arguably the 2 most popular holiday destinations in Asia and so many people have asked this question.Bali and Phuket are very different from each other,here is a brief summary. 

Bali is a much bigger island which gives you room to escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist areas and experience the countryside with it’s authentic Balinese culture and lush landscapes.It’s overall a more laid back place where you can explore jungle nature areas with waterfalls and go surfing.Bali has got some of the best waves in the world.

Phuket on the other hand is more developed but has more things to do,besides enjoying the beautiful beaches and nearby islands,some with caves and hidden lagoons,there are numerous activities on offer : boating,nightlife,fishing,scuba diving,kitesurfing,e-foiling,Thai cooking lessons,yoga,mixed martial arts,golf,tours etc etc,there is something to do for just about everybody.

One of Bali’s main attractions is it’s surfing but what many people don’t know is that there is surf in Phuket too.For 5 to 6 months of the year it’s the surfing season.Although the quality of the waves is not as good as in Bali,you can still get some fun waves,and in some areas the conditions are great for learning at one of the surfing schools.There is now quite a big surfing scene on the island.
